Research On Visualization Application Of Historical Character Data In Digital Humanities

With the development of visualization technology,many visualization models have been proposed to guide the analysis and creation of visualization.A complete visual model helps people perform visualization work in accordance with established standards or methods,improving the efficiency of visual creation.However,most of the current visualization models are proposed for the specific scenario or the specific type of problems.It is meaningless without the scenario or the problem.The current generalized visualization model is relatively small and not perfect,based on this question,this paper summarizes and proposes a general visualization hierarchy model,and gives some suggestions for the points that need to be paid attention to at every levels.Finally,this paper builds a visualization platform for digital humanities.The concrete work is as follows:(1)the current general visualization model is relatively small and not perfect.Aiming at this problem,this paper summarizes and proposes a universal visual universal visual hierarchy model based on the visual model of previous studies.The four levels of visualization,presentation,analysis,interaction and art.(2)For the problem of focuing on the implementation of the visualization but ignoring the effect of final visualization for the previous visualization models.for example,some users can smoothly complete the visual design and analysis work to reference previous visual models,but the final effect may be not very good.In response to this problem,this paper combines and summarizes the proposed visual hierarchy model giving some suggestions for the points that need to be paid attention to at every levels of the model.(3)With the development of digital humanities technology,many digital humanities platforms have been built,but most of the current platforms in digital humanities are functionoriented platforms but involving relatively few designs in visualization.For this problem,this paper designs a visualization platform for digital humanities based on CBDB historical biographies database,Worldmap layer data and ancient text dataset.The platform focuses on the design and implementation of visualization and can satisfy humanities’ needs,and the visual design of the digital human platform can help humanities improve the user experience.(4)Combined with the visual hierarchy model proposed in this paper,we described in detail what the process of the model building and implementation for each visualization function in the platform.
