| In recent years,there was a low-aging tendency of Chinese learners in Thailand,and its demands for preschool Chinese teachers has also increased year by year.Due to the particularity of the teaching object,the Thai demands for the quality of volunteer Chinese teachers for children is also different from that for volunteer teachers of Chinese at other levels.This article uses questionnaires and interviews to evaluate the quality status of Thai volunteer preschool Chinese teachers in Thailand from the six quality dimensions of professionalism,professional knowledge,professional competence,Chinese cultural and intercultural communication abilities,personality qualities,and Chinese artistic skill.An investigation and analysis of the quality demands of volunteer preschool Chinese teachers was conducted.The results show that in terms of professionalism,professional knowledge,and professional competence,there is a significant difference between the demands for volunteer preschool Chinese teachers and the quality status of them.Successively,the most obvious differences are: “the ability to establish a correct outlook on children and an education for children”“Mastering Children’s Pedagogy and Child Psychology” and “Classroom activities are simple,fun and easy to carry out.” However,there is no significant difference between the demands and quality status in the two aspects of Chinese culture and intercultural communication and personality qualities.In the quality dimension of Chinese artistic skill,through simple comparison,we can see that the artistic skill currently available to volunteer preschool Chinese teachers,it can fully meet the demands of Thai children’s Chinese teaching and activities.At the end of the thesis,based on the analysis of the above results,the following suggestions are proposed: enrich the content of Chinese International Education courses in domestic universities;optimize the mode of Confucius Institute Headquarters/National Hanban selection training;cultivate outstanding Thai local preschool Chinese teachers,strengthen the self-improvement consciousness of Thai volunteer preschool Chinese teachers. |
