Today’s society has become the era of mobile Internet instead of PC Internet.Mobile learning supported by mobile terminals has become a new way of learning,providing a medium for experiential language learning.It also serves as a supplement of language learning in classroom time.Mobile learning provides strong support for lifelong learning,which is an indispensable mode in future.By focusing on the distributed cognitive theory,this thesis makes a survey of the Chinese mobile learning of the international students in four schools in Shenyang,analyzes the differences and reasons of the choice among the primary,middle and advanced Chinese mobile learning modes,discusses the factors that affect mobile learning and makes suggestions on how to optimize Chinese mobile learning.First of all,this thesis clarifies and analyzes the related literature about distributed cognitive theory and mobile learning at home and abroad,discusses the feasibility of applying distributed cognitive theory to Chinese mobile learning.From the perspective of distributed cognition,this thesis puts forward five influencing factors of mobile learning corresponding to cognitive distribution,which are the perspectives of learners,learning resources,learning environment,learning media and social and cultural.In the next place,this thesis makes a survey of demand analysis and current situation of Chinese mobile learning among foreign students in four schools of Shenyang through questionnaire,discusses the correlation of influencing factors of mobile learning,and analyzes the differences of Chinese mobile learning of foreign students at different levels specifically.Finally,combined with the results of the survey and five aspects of mobile learning,thisthesis puts forward some optimization suggestions on Chinese mobile learning for foreign students at different levels.This thesis finds that the most important factors that affect their Chinese mobile learning are the interest and demand of foreign students,and the learning environment comes to the least.Also,the different levels of Chinese also makes the choice of mobile learning mode and resources different.Through the survey data,this thesis truly reflects the current situation and concerns of foreign students’ mobile learning,provides a direction for improving the functions of mobile learning platform,and at the same time,it inspires Chinese teachers effectively improve and assist classroom teaching to cater for the information age.
