| The COVID-19 has erupted throughout China this year,which not only caused tens of thousands of people to be infected and lost huge property,but also caused anxiety and panic among ordinary people,resulting in many psychological problems being induced.Uncertain factors such as the unknown,uncontrollable and unpredictable of the COVID-19 may be the main source of these psychological problems.In many studies,it has been proved that intolerance of uncertainty is an important factor in the generation and maintenance of dysthymic disorders.College students with high intolerance of uncertainty will have more negative emotions because of the uncertain situations or events in their lives,so their physical and mental health development will be affected.At the same time,it can be concluded from the survey that the situation of social anxiety and depression among college students is more serious.Therefore,in this study,the intolerance of uncertainty,social anxiety and depression are investigated and studied by taking college students as subjects.In this paper,on the basis of the existing research,the status quo of the intolerance of uncertainty,social anxiety and depression is investigated by using the questionnaire method and taking the students of a university in Kunming as an example,and the relationship between them is explored by analyzing the data.At the same time,the intervention study is carried out on college students with high intolerance of uncertainty by using case study.According to the research results,the corresponding suggestions to guide the development of college students’ mental health are put forward.The following conclusions are drawn:(1)As far as college students are concerned,their level of intolerance of uncertainty and depression is good on the whole,but their level of social anxiety is significantly higher than the norm.(2)There are significant differences in the intolerance of uncertainty among college students of different grades,family atmosphere and family economic status;There are significant differences in social anxiety among college students of different genders,whether they are the only child or not,places of origin,family atmosphere and family economic status;There are significant differences in depression among college students of different grades,family atmosphere and family economic status.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between each of the three psychological characteristics of college students: intolerance of uncertainty,social anxiety and depression.(4)As far as college students are concerned,to a certain extent,their social anxiety plays an intermediary role between their intolerance of uncertainty and depression.(5)Case intervention can not only reduce the level of college students’ intolerance of uncertainty,but also improve their tolerance of uncertainty.(6)The reduction of the level of intolerance of uncertainty can indirectly improve the social anxiety and depression of college students. |
