Teaching materials are the basic materials for teachers to prepare and teach,as well as the tools for students to learn and reference.The applicability of teaching materials has a very important impact on the effect of classroom teaching,and the choice of different teaching materials has different impact on teachers’ lesson preparation,students’ learning and specific classroom teaching.At present,the academic world has become more and more mature in the comparative study of all kinds of Chinese teaching materials,but there are not enough classroom teaching researches based on the specific teaching practices.In addition,the few researches on TCSL textbooks based on classroom teaching mostly focus on the classroom use of a single textbook,while there are few comparative studies on the classroom use of different textbooks.At present,the four Confucius institutes in Kenya take the new practical Chinese textbook as the main teaching material,and the happy Chinese and other books as the reference materials.College of Chinese,the author’s Kenya had sent Yang chau compiled "Chinese textbook" as the main materials,college of Chinese,but by the author in Kenya for nine months of teaching practice,classroom teaching and students’ feedback on study found that Chinese college use "Chinese textbook" appeared in the process of teaching knowledge lags behind,the teaching material content arrangement and so on all sorts of problems.Therefore,the college decided to change the teaching material to HSK standard course after several deliberation.Chinese institute for teaching and research base in Kenya,in classroom teaching point of view of organizers and participants of the study in two aspects,on the basis of in-depth analysis of the college of Chinese language before and after the use of two textbook,then on this basis,explores the Kenya institute of Chinese language in the use of different teaching the specific influence to the teachers’ teaching and students’ learning,and to survey questionnaire analysis prove that the Kenya institute of Chinese language teaching material replacement the necessity,feasibility and effectiveness.Practical Suggestions are put forward for the selection of teaching materials for the Chinese language institute of Kenya and the development trend of TCFL teaching materials reform worldwide.
