Clara Schumann(1819-1896)was born in Leipzig,a famous German pianist and composer, and one of the representatives of romanticism in the 19th century. She studied music with her father since she was a child, and attended the first piano concert at the age of nine.As a genius girl,Clara was cultivated as the second Mozart, and she received applause and tasted a lot.In 1840 she married Schumann, born with 8 children. After marriage,Clara has been hovering between the identity of a housewife and pianist, during this period is also the low period of her artistic career. However, illness and the death of children slowly eroded the heart of the female musician.A large number of musicians, composers, and performers emerged during the Romantic period, such as Liszt,Chopin,Brahms, and Schumann, but we rarely mention this female musician who contributed a lot.Noting Clara, the topics are focused on her life with Robert and music, not to mention gossip between Brahms. As a student of piano performance and teaching,I played a large number of male musicians works during my music studies.I’m very puzzled why there are so few people who play Clara’s works. And I want to use this article to concretely reflect Clara’s bumpy life experience and contribution to music history and to improve contemporary society’s research on the performance and artistic contribution of Clara’s works through this.Clara is limited by multiple identities and responsibilities, and the number of works is not large.Among her few music,"Romantic Song" is the proportion of the title. There are five parts here:the first part summarizes Clara’s life experience and shows her extraordinary life from multiple angles;the second part corrects Clara’s music works and music creation;the third part focuses on analyzing her musical contribution, including teaching methods and concert influences;the fourth part mainly summarizes and analyzes the music content and performance methods of"Three Romantic Songs" op.11;the fifth part is through the above four chapters The analysis has a new understanding of Clara, and summarizes the enlightenment of Clara’s analytical thinking. This article attempts to comprehensively understand the romantic giantess from the perspectives of music history, gender psychology, sociology, and social anthropology in combination with research methods such as reading books, searching literature, and performing practice.
