Music Analysis And Singing Processing Of The Art Song "Finding The Place Where The Sun Rises"

The music form of art songs originated from Europe.It became an independent music genre because of the works of Schubert,which is one of the masters in the romantic period,and it achieved unique development after introduce to China.The whole song of "Finding the Place where the Sun Rises" is the representative work of composer Chen Yong,and it is also a very classic work of the Yunnan native music.Professor Guo Shuzhen,a famous soprano singer and vocal educator in China,rated this piece as a beautiful song that doesn’t hear in recent years among the soprano solo songs in China.Based on the theoretical and practical experience during my period of master program as well as my singing experience of this song,there are three aspects will be discussed in this thesis: the introduction of art songs and composers,the analysis of the music of "Finding the Place where the Sun Rises" and the treatment of singing.Hopefully this thesis could offer a reference for vocal leaners as well as who loves Chinese culture.
