English teaching in primary school plays an important role in all stages of compulsory education.Primary school English learning is the initial stage for students to understand and master English,and also is the stage of learning the basic knowledge for English learner.Listening and speaking is an important part of primary school English teaching,so as to in rural primary school English teaching.However,many rural English teachers focus on teaching vocabulary?reading and grammar,ignoring the cultivation of students' English listening and speaking ability.There are some problems in English listening and speaking teaching in rural primary schools,such as the single teaching content,the boring practice method of students' listening and speaking,and the application of digital teaching resources is not ideal.As a result,the students' interest in listening and speaking is not high,the participation in class is not enough and the initiative of listening and speaking is low,which ultimately leads to the unsatisfactory effect of English listening and speaking teaching in rural primary schools.Under the background of the vigorous development of educational informationization,how to integrate technology and subject teaching is an unavoidable question for every teacher,and it is also the requirement of English curriculum standard.However,due to the relatively low level of rural informatization,limited electronic equipment and other objective factors in rural primary school,the development of educational informatization in rural education has encountered many obstacles.Although the equipment is limited,under the background of educational informatization,there are already a large number of digital teaching resources available for teachers and students to use.On this premise,taking a rural primary school in Dingxi city Gansu province as an example to study is meaningful for clear how to use digital teaching resources to optimize teaching English listening and speaking in rural primary school.Based on Babanski's theory of teaching optimization,Krashen's theory of Second Language Acquisition and Swain's theory of Language Output,this study aims to solve the practical teaching problems in English listening and speaking teaching in rural primary schools,such as the single teaching content and the single listening and speaking practice method.The author has conducted a three-month research on the application of digital teaching resources to optimize teaching English listening and speaking in rural primary schools with action research.In the process of action research,the author constantly reflects on and improves teaching.In this study,questionnaire survey,interview,classroom observation,test and teacher log are used to collect data in action research.The data analysis of three rounds of action research shows that digital teaching resources can enrich the content of English listening and speaking teaching in rural primary schools,and at the same time provide a variety of English listening and speaking practice methods for rural primary schools.According to the result of the study,students' interest in learning listening and speaking has been improved,students' participation in the class has been significantly improved,and students' initiative in learning listening and speaking has also been mobilized.Finally,the statistical analysis shows that through the effective application of digital teaching resources in teaching English listening and speaking,the experimental school students' English listening comprehension ability and oral expression ability have improved.The research proves that the reasonable application of digital teaching resources can optimize teaching English listening and speaking in rural primary schools.The significance and value of this study lies in the result that the rational use of digital teaching resources can effectively promote the improvement of rural students' English listening and speaking ability.Therefore,English teachers in rural primary schools,who are restricted by limited hardware equipment,should pay full attention to the role of digital teaching resources,and be able to actively and reasonably use digital teaching resources in the teaching process.Secondly,English teachers in rural primary schools can try to use digital teaching resources in other aspects of English Teaching in primary schools.Finally,teachers in different disciplines can try to use digital teaching resources according to their own characteristics to optimize teaching and improve teaching efficiency.
