Simultaneous interpretation with text is a widely-applied working style among today's interpretation. In this kind of interpretation, interpreters can relieve their stress on the listening and production part, and improve the quality of interpretation by referring to the text. However,if the speaker suddenly deviates from the text, then the text may turn to negatively interfere the performance of the interpreter. Therefore, right and reasonable allocation of the effort can be considered as the key to ensure the quality of the interpretation under the circumstance of simultaneous interpretation with text. This thesis takes “the mock conference of the opening speech at the summer summit of YABULI China Entrepreneurs Forum 2019” as a case, then according to the Gile's effort model of the simultaneous interpretation with text, takes the problems of poor effort allocation in each part as classification basis, lists the typical wrong interpretation, analyzes the possible causes and finally proposes several strategy optimization. In conclusion,over-reliance on the text, low attention on the effort allocation of parts excluding reading, failing to adjust the effort allocation timely when the speaker deviates from the text, low attention on the text when the speaker deviates from the text are the main reasons for the poor effort allocation and the decline of the quality of interpretation.Based on the findings above, improving the preparation, raising the proportion of the effort allocation of other parts excluding reading, choosing the best way of the preparation, improving basic skills are needed.By applying these methods, interpreters can slowly improve their effort allocation in a proper way and optimize the performance.
