| In recent years,independent Confucius Classrooms and affiliated Confucius Classrooms have been established in Thailand one after another.The number of Confucius classrooms is increasing.This article takes the Confucius Classroom at Rayongwittayakom School and the Confucius Classroom at Darasamutr School in Thailand as the research objects,aiming to analyze the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of the two Confucius classrooms through field visits,case sorting,person-in-charge interviews and questionnaire surveys of students,parents and teachers,so as to provide strategies for the classroom to give full play to its strengths and overcome difficulties.Combined with SWOT analysis model,this article argues that the two types of Confucius Classrooms in Thailand not only enjoy the common strengths of superior educational conditions,abundant teaching resources and superior policy support.There are also different weaknesses such as biased curriculum,uneven distribution of teachers,unreasonable distribution of teaching materials,teaching level needs to be improved,weak learning motivation and imperfect activity organization.Faced with the external environment of the epidemic and the change of authority,they not only enjoy the common opportunities of public brand trust,institutions communication,the establishment of China International Chinese Language Education Foundation and the change of functions of upper organizations to clear division of labor;but also have the common threats of the difficulty in mastering the quality level of students,the impact of the global epidemic,the individual threats of excessive management of independent Confucius classrooms and weak autonomy of affiliated Confucius Classrooms.Combined with SWOT analysis theory,this article puts forward thestrategies.First,growth strategies: expanding brand publicity,expanding The Chinese market in Thailand,and expanding the cooperative market in China;Second,reversal strategies: adjusting curriculum,optimizing teacher structure,allocating teaching materials in a diversified way,and cultivating teaching ability;Third,multiple management strategies:perfecting rules and regulations,reducing the scope of independent classroom management,improving the autonomy of the affiliated classroom,exploring online teaching;Fourthly,defensive strategies:strengthening learning motivation,improving activity organization,attaching importance to discipline competition,and reshaping Chinese sense of identity.In addition to the two Confucius classrooms studied,this article also provides useful reference for the development of the two types of Confucius classrooms in Thailand and aims to provide reference for the sustainable development of Confucius classrooms around the world. |
