Analysis On The Adaptation Of The Changing Role Of The Landless Elderly In The Village-to-Residence Community

With the urbanization of China,more and more farmers are losing their land and becoming land-lost farmers,the landless elderly in the village-to-community is a special group among them.The change from the role of "peasant" to "citizen" not only means their identities are different,their way of work,their way of life,their social interaction and their psychological attribution are also changed.S community is a typical village-to-village community.It has the characteristics of "non-city,non-town,and city-to-town".In the process of urbanization,it had many problems.A qualitative study of S community,which has been relocated for 10 years,will be conducive to the real realization of complete urbanization of the village-to-village community.In this paper,we use the interview method and the participatory observation method to understand that in the past ten years,the adaptation problems encountered by the land-lost elderly in the process of adaptation have a certain trend,from "marginalization" to"differentiation" to "fusion".Even a small part is "assimilated",and the results of their adaptation depend not only on the adaptability and emotional needs of the elderly,but also on the impact of the environment on them.Policy support in the environment,changes in the behavior of people around,and access to the neighborhood committees are all important factors.According to the needs of the landless elderly and the methods of social work,this paper puts forward some suggestions on how social work intervenes the landless elderly to adapt to urban life,which can be divided into two ways:direct intervention and indirect intervention.According to the specific situation,the methods of case work,group work,community work,social policy and social administration can be used to adapt the landless elderly to urban life.It can create better conditions for the landless elderly to adapt to urban life.
