Research On The Fund-Raising Of Social Organizations

Social organization is an important supplier of public administration and public service.Since the reform and opening up,especially since the 1990 s,the number and scale of social organizations in China have been expanding.The fields of activities involve economic,social,environmental and other aspects,and play an increasingly important role in our lives.Accompanied by this,the demand for funds of social organizations is also growing.However,due to the limitations of external social environment,legal environment and self-financing ability,social organizations in China are generally faced with difficulties in raising funds and financing,which makes it difficult for them to exert their due social influence.This paper takes Beijing X Social Work Center as a case study.Based on the theory of social exchange and hierarchy of needs,and using the methods of literature research and field research at home and abroad,this paper studies the fund-raising of social organizations.This paper investigates the fund-raising situation of X Social Work Center from four aspects: source,team,method and donation accountability.The research finds that X Social Work Center has certain advantages in cooperation with the government,enterprises and high-quality projects.But at the same time,there are some problems,such as low stability of fund-raising sources,relatively dependence on the government,insufficient self-generated income and so on,so the fund gap is still large.Based on the experience of foreign social organizations and the practical problems faced by domestic social organizations,this paper discusses how to change the difficult situation of social organizations in China from five aspects: fund-raising environment construction,public trust construction,fund-raising team construction,diversified cooperation and the development of social enterprise model,so as to enhance the fund-raising ability of social organizations.And then to maximize its social value and role.
