With the deepening reform of institution and development of system in government,increasing new generations of civil servants are taking important administrative positions.Compared with other youth groups,they have special historic mission in current era.They are public policy makers and practitioners while also the providers of public services.High ideological consciousness,strong work efficiency,a positive working state with constant diligences are the work requirements.Compared with the older generation of civil servant,in the era of new thinking and new situation,they should have more career development and career growth,which also is regarded as a significant sign of work value.Therefore,the career growth and job burnout of the new generation of civil servants is not only related to their work status,but also to the human resource management and administrative efficiency of government departments.In this context,this study takes the new generation of civil servants as the research object,adopts a combination of theoretical and empirical methods,and studies the impact of new generation civil servant career growth on job burnout,aiming at the problem of new generation civil servants' job burnout,and provides reference recommendations for civil servants and adminstrative departments.First,we summarized the literature about career growth,organization-based self-esteem,and job burnout.Based on the existing research results,we put forward the research hypotheses and built a theoretical model of career growth,organization-based self-esteem,and job burnout.Then according to the existing maturity scale,a questionnaire suitable for this study was compiled,and the validity of the questionnaire was tested.The softwares of SPSS 20 and AMOS17.0 were used to analyze the collected 236 effective Cenozoic civil servant samples.Through the analysis and discussion,the main conclusions are listed as below:1.There are differences in the new generation of civil servant's occupation growth,organization-based self-esteem,and occupational burnout across the demographic variables;2.the new generation of civil servant occupational development,organization-based self-esteem had negative effects on the occupational burnout;3.the growth of organization-based self-esteem had a mediating effect on occupational burnout in the new generation of civil servants.Based on the above conclusions,this study puts forward feasible strategies –including training mechanisms,promotional mechanism,salary incentive and assessment mechanisms – which are conducive to the career growth and preventing job burnout among the new generation of civil servants.
