The Study About The Transition Of Principal Social Contradictions After The Founding Of New China

Contradiction is an inherent feature and fundamental characteristic of things.There are many types of contradictions.Principal contradictions normally occupy the dominant position among them,and play an important impact on other contradictions.To correctly understand and grasp the main contradictions of society and determine on fundamental tasks of a certain historical period,is the theoretical and practical guide of the party's consistent leadership of China's socialist cause construction.Therefore,a systematic review of the changes of understanding about major social contradictions since the founding of new China will help to better understand the law of the development of the major social contradictions in China.After the founding of New China,the change of the Party's understanding of the main contradictions in society can be divided into four different historical periods,such as transitional period,the early stage of socialist construction,the post-reform and opening-up period and the period of socialism with unique Chinese characteristics in new era.During the transitional period,the Party made a preliminary exploration on the understanding of the main contradictions in society according to the domestic environment.The results indicated that the contradiction between the the masses and imperialism,feudalism,bureaucrat capitalism,the remnants of the Kuomintang,the spear and shield between the proletariat and the bourgeoisie were the main contradictions in society at that time.According to this thesis,the Party led the people to complete the legacy of the New Democratic Revolution and carried out the "three major transformations" and finally established a socialist system.At the initial stage of socialist construction,the Eighth National Congress of the Party made a correct judgment on the main contradictions of society,and it was believed that the main contradictions at that time were contradictions between the people's demand for the establishment of an advanced industrial country and the reality of the overdeveloped agricultural country.The contradiction between the people's need for rapid economic and cultural growth and the current situation that economic culture cannot meet the people's demands.But this argument did not last long,the overwhelming Leftism influenced the Party's understanding appeared to be biased,socialist construction encountered certain twists and turns.Based on the basis of the ideological line of seeking truth from facts established by the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee,the Sixth Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee made a correct judgment on the main contradictions in our society,and concluded that the contradiction between the people's growing material and cultural needs and underdeveloped social production is the main contradiction of the society.Since then,from the 12th to the 18th National Congress of the Party,the Party has always adhered to this idea and improved the sixth plenary session of the Eleventh Central Committee on the main contradictions in society.After entering the new era,the main contradiction of our society has evolved into the contradiction between the people's fast growing needs for better lives and the unbalanced and inadequate development.This judgment not only has profound theoretical and practical basis,but also extremely important significance.From the perspective of changing severity of the Party's understanding of the major contradictions in our society since the founding of New China,the Communist Party of China has always adhered to the concrete analysis of specific problems,and objectively grasped the major social contradictions that arise in different stages of development of society.Based on those,the Party treat the development of the national economy and meeting the people's living needs as an important way to solve the main contradictions of society,and continuously promote the progress of the socialist cause.
