From The Recipient To The Helper: The Empowerment Practice Of Rural Migrant Women

In recent years,with the demand of the market and the increase of rural women's desire to go out and seek opportunities,more and more rural women have flowed into cities.After flowing into the city,rural women have experienced a different life from that in the countryside and are full of hope for their future life and future.However,rural migrant women are facing serious marginalization difficulties in their life in the city.Moreover,most of the research and assistance on rural migrant women look at the rural migrant women group from the perspective of problems and seldom find out the infinite potential hidden in them.Therefore,in this context,l social work service institutions use the guidance of empowerment theory to carry out projects.L social work institutions,through previous research on the roles and dilemmas of migrant women,found that there are:economic dilemmas,difficulties of narrow communication space,dilemmas of weak legal knowledge,psychological dilemmas,difficulties of parent-child relationship,and difficulties of lack of leadership.In order to better solve the plight of rural migrant women and empower them,l social work organization carried out three empowerment projects,namely "super benevolent mother","alien mother" and "alien parents",to explore the potential of rural migrant women and solve their plight.The author uses interview method and literature method to analyze the empowerment project of L social work organization: first,l social work organization wakes up the main body consciousness of rural migrant women through the empowerment of "super benevolent mother" project;then,through the empowerment of "foreign mother's family" project,the main body consciousness of helping people of rural migrant women is constructed;finally,through the empowerment of "foreign parents" project So that the floating women in rural areas will eventually form the subject consciousness of helping people.Through the implementation of the project,they will be promoted from the potential awareness of the recipients to the role of the helpers,pass the concept of helping people and self-help to the people served by rural migrantwomen volunteers,improve their ability to resist risks and solve difficulties,and finally truly realize the self-improvement and self-development of rural migrant women.Through the analysis,reflection and summary of the empowerment practice of L institution,the author hopes that in the future,social work institutions can pay attention to the rural migrant women,and provide more intervention models and skills for their services,accurately grasp the needs of service objects,and provide more reference opinions and Countermeasures for future services,so as to achieve the best effect of services,and also let rural migrant women To achieve empowerment and contribute to the economic and cultural construction of our country.
