Group Work Intervention On The Social Support Of The Elderly In Rural Old-age Institutions

Since the implementation of the family planning policy,China has gradually entered an aging society.The rising number of the elderly population has.also brought a series of challenges to our country's social pension,which has caused many contradictions,especially in rural areas where the proportion of elderly people is relatively high.In recent years,some elderly people in rural areas have begun to gradually recognize and accept the institutional pension,which also sets higher requirements for the development of rural pension institutions.In this study,we investigated the elderly nursing home in Loudi Bridge in Loudi City.We conducted a survey on the supporting system of rural aged care institutions using questionnaires and interview methods.From the formal support system and the informal support system,The purpose of this article is to provide some reference for further improvement of social support for rural pension institutions and to provide some basis for the introduction of social workers in rural pension institutions so as to help elderly people to spend more comfortable old age in rural pension institutions life.Through the investigation,it is found that the specialization of X nursing home staff is not high,the spiritual needs of the elderly can not be met,and the volunteer team has less service content to meet the needs of the elderly.The group work method is usually very effective in meeting the spiritual needs of the elderly.Therefore,through the intervention of the group work,the narrative group can indeed help the elderly in the rural pension institutions face the later life in a more positive mental state.At the same time,through the intervention of social workers,we also put forward the following suggestions:Advocating the concept of social workers,training professionals;mobilizing social resources,building support networks;seeking multi-party cooperation to promote institutional-building.
