Rowing is a physical fitness item, which emphasizes the physical strength endurance and holds the principle of aerobic energy supply. The athletes' physical function level has an important influence on their competitiveness directly.European countries has been a leader on the rowing.Compared with the athletes in Europe and America, the level of Chinese rowers is not strong enough and less competitive.Chinese rowers' competitiveness is in a bad condition compared with European and American athletes. There are many reasons for this big gap,but it's no doubt that the fitness level is an important factor. So it's necessary to improve the fitness level of our rowers to enhance the rowers' competitive ability and sports performance. With the basic knowledge of sports training and sports physiology, this research gives a systemic description of rowing' project features and rowing ergometer' training characteristics. It provides a theory foundation for us to catch hold of the rowing's theoretical and practical issues accurately. Then we can get the athletes' physiological features, physical level characteristics and its changes. All these can supply practical basis for coaches to making reasonable training plans and training means. The main features of rowing ergometer are strong burthen, short time and glycolysis anaerobic metabolism. The rowing ergometer training offer water endurance practice a good basis. The training which is difficult to be carried in the water can be underway on land. This training means is simple to practise and is suitable for preparation period. It can tap the athletes' potentialities fully and improve their sports level effectively.Rowing training often uses heart rate, power, and blood lactic acid to monitor. These indicators reflect the athletes' systemic level. From the view of the practical training, with the literature method, experimental method and mathematical statistics mothod, this research give 16 rowers a investigation to heart rate, power, and blood lactic acid in 2000 m dynamometer test.During the research prosess,16 rowers was divided into 2 groups. One is experimental group, another is matched group. The experimental group carries out routine training and dynamometer training, which is 3 times a week for 8 weeks. The matched group carries routine traning. In the study,we can draw the following conclusions:1)In the 2000 m dynamometer test, the test objects' heart rate trends are basically the same.During the test, the heart rate increased gradually, then the increase becomes smaller gradually, and finally entered a relatively stable stage.2)The best athletes get the most stable output power through the process,so the rowers' speed difference should not be too big in each section.3)Rowing ergometer training can make a significant increase in athletes' lactic acid power. In the study,we can see lactic acid power continue to rise.At the beginning of the training,it rises faster and slower later.4)As can be seen from the test results, the scores of the experimental group' rowers are enhanced significantly in 2000 m test through 8 weeks' training(p<0.05).5)Rowing ergometer training can raise athletes' aerobic capacity and anaerobic capacity.
