Research Of The Defensive Ability Of The Centers In The First Four Teams In 2017 Eurobasket

The European centers are characterized by skills and physical,a lot of them are able to shoot from mid and long range.They are not as athletic as the American black centers.But they are aggressive and tough on defensive plays.It is great significance to study the defensive ability of the great European center for the training and daily training of Chinese center players.Based on the defensive ability of the centers in the first four teams as the object of the research,were studied by using the method of literature,expert interviews,video observation,mathematical statistics and logical analysis method,conclude:1.All the seven centers are tall.Marjanovic and Mozgov have the advantage on height and weight.All the centers are at the good age of basketball players beside Pau Gasol.He is 37 years old.2.When opponent is at postposition without a ball,they usually do de defense at the back of the opponent.If they have to guard a bigger center or a center who can do much damage on post position,they often switch to front defense or half-front defense.When the opponents get the ball at post position,they do much body contact to prevent the opponents get near the hoop.Based on the feature of the opponents,they choose defensive position to de baseline or the upline.3.Mozgov is more aggressive on defending opponents on the high post without a ball.When the opponent has the ball at high post,getting to close to the opponent makes a large space near the hoop,the opponent can easily drive or pass the ball to the teammates cutting to the hoop.And stay too far from the opponent can easily make jumpshots.4.Dimec helps less than others,Mozgov and Kuzmic can help on larger area.When defending high post pick and roll,Pau Gasol and Majanovic do "Shadow" more,Kuzmic is good at trap,Vidmar and Dimec do switch more,Mozgov does more delay.5.Pau Gasol and Marc Gasol get more defense rebounds,Mozgov and Marjanovic are good at getting good rebound position,the defense rebound ability of Dimec is the worst.6.Pau Gasol and Marc Gasol is more aggressive on blocking shots,but the often take opponent`s fake and lose the defensive position.Vidmar has the best judgment.Mozgov and Marjanovic are good at standing block.7.Pau Gasol and Marc Gasol have the better ability of foul controlling.Kuzmic and Marjanovic use the early foul to stop de fast breaks.Mozgov often commits fouls when trying to block shots.Marjanovic and Pau Gasol used to lose their temper.
