Comparative Study Of Selected Works Of Senior Chinese Classical In The Mainland And Taiwan

Traditional Chinese classics,the spirits of Chinese culture and philosophy,is not only the essence of ancient scholars' wisdom,but is what the Chinese culture lies on.Even today,it is still quite meaningful for us.Although it experienced several ups and downs,sinology has been valued from 1980s,which made us realize the importance of Tranditional Chinese Classics and its significant role in basic education.The Chinese course is the basic way to spread Sinology.Chinese teaching material should include excellent traditional Chinese classics.And the classical Chinese text is one of the presentations of it.The classical Chinese text,the form of ancient literature,has been the emphasis of Chinese teaching material reformation.Taiwan,which shares the same bloodline as mainland,always pays attention to the inheritance of classical Chinese texts.In teaching goals,Taiwan and mainland both emphasize students' ability.On the basis of theme and genre,mainland divides the unit according to the time and the authors,which makes the goals and key points clearer.However,Taiwan more emphasizes on the traditional culture by combining classical Chinese texts and vernacular,adding local works into it and having a high demand on the selection of classical works and historical.ones.Comparing the questions of the classical Chinese texts in the college entrance examination,the writer aims to analyze the links between studying and testing.In spite of the truth that the teaching material in mainland doesn't provide enough things to improve students' general literature ability,the tests have even higher demand on students'production skills of classical Chinese texts.But the tests in Taiwan more emphasize on students' culture foundation and literacy,which relates closely to their teaching materials.The writer tries to analyze the similarities and differences of teaching aspects of Taiwan and mainland in Chinese subject.
