The Research Of The Greatest Badminton Women's Singles Players In The World Techniques And Strategies

This research analyzes the techniques and tactics commonly used amongst the world's top women's singles badminton players in the past 5 years.Eight of the top players were chosen and analyzed through literature methods,video observations and statistical analysis.The main conclusions discovered are as follows:In the techniques areas:(1)The elite badminton women's singles players serve mainly to the inner corner of the front court and the middle of both the front and the back court.When receiving a serve,the athletes tend to use offensive techniques.The aim of this behavior is to make an attack on the opponents by using a smash or push,or create opportunities for the next movement by playing net shots.(2)Although each player has a unique style of play,they all have a very similar strategy in their game.The most frequently used techniques are lift and net shots from the front court,block shots and smashes from the middle court,and clear,drop shots and drive shots from the back court.(3)After attacking from the middle and back courts,they usually move straight to the front court.This demonstrates that this combination is the basic attack combination in women's singles matches.All of these players are more likely to go to the front courts after drop shots in the back court,rather than going back to the back court except li xuerui.This shows the importance of the front court in the modern badminton game.(4)It seems the same of winning points and losing points mostly in which part of the elite badminton women's single players.It shows that the back court is the highest,then the second one is the front court,and the middle court is in the last.In the tactics areas:There are three kinds of the attack tactics during the key moment in the match:(1)mainly use smash to make an attack;(2)mainly use the long flat clear to make an attack;(3)combine to use the long flat clear and net shots to make an attack.(1)Wang Yihan,Saina Nehwal,Carolina Marin and Venkata Sindhu prefer to use smashes when they are ready to make an attack,but they each have their own features.Wang Yihan and Venkata Sindhu make full use of their height to make the smash more difficult to defend.Saina Nehwal is not as fluent with her footwork so she utilizes more heavy smashes.Carolina Marin is very skilled at controlling the power and the timing of her smashes to break her opponent's rhythm when receiving,which has made a good impact on her game.(2)Cheng Chixuan and Wang Shixian often use the long flat clear when they make an attack,however they have different features.(3)Li Xuerui is an offensive player.She is more likely to combine the long flat clear and net shots in her attacking play.Dai ziying is a smart player.She is more likely to use push and smash to attack others.
