With the deepening and development of quality education and new curriculum reform,some innovative sports began to pour into our learning life.In recent years,orienteering as a new sports project has been developed rapidly in our country,in addition to a large number of orienteering clubs continue to appear,the national colleges and universities are also in succession to open this course.The study found that the mental health of contemporary college students is not optimistic,especially some students' attention,perception,thinking and other psychological cognitive ability needs to be improved.However,by participating in orienteering training,do college students have significant differences in psychological cognitive ability? This article takes this question as the breakthrough point and the main research content.Through the teaching experiment of orienteering for sophomore students,using the experimental group,the control group before and after the comparison of experimental design,and teaching experiment and experimental measurement method,before and after the experiment were measured respectively the attention,sensory perception ability,operational thinking ability level of two groups of students,through comparative analysis to explore the differences and influence of orienteering on college students' cognitive ability indicators,in order to provide theoretical and practical basis for the school to better carry out and popularize orienteering,provide scientific reference for orienteering teaching and training and athlete selection.Research conclusion: 1.Orienteering can effectively improve the attention ability of college students,among which attention allocation,attention span and attention stability are significantly promoted.2.Orienteering is beneficial to the development of college students' perceptual ability,especially in time perception,distance perception and high perception.3.Orienteering can effectively improve the operational thinking ability of college students,and boys than girls to improve more obvious and prominent.
