Since the beginning of the 21st century,with the continuous popularity of computers,computers have gradually spread from military and business to the daily life.Technological innovation has brought about innovation in life,but it has also caused the emergence of new problems.The digital divide has appeared in the vision of the public.The digital divide is a product of the "Information Age".The initial digital divide expresses the gap between different groups at the digital access level.The digital divide is existence around the world.As the digitization gradually spreads into our daily life,work,and study,the digital divide has been more reflected in the second-level digital divide,which called the "digital literacy divide".Under the condition that the masses could equally access to digital,the gap between the skills level of different individuals in information technology is called the digital literacy gap.The digital literacy gap is harder to heal than the first digital divide.Research on the digital literacy divide is far less than its needs,and in particular there is little research on the digital literacy gap among middle school students.There are information technology courses in middle school and middle school period is the best time to learn,therefore middle school is the best time to bridging the digital literacy gap.Based on this,this study conducted surveys on several middle schools in urban areas of Wuhan City to explored the current status and causes of the digital literacy divide from the perspective of middle school students.First of all,according to literature review,the author discusses the development history of the digital divide and the research status of the digital divide,discusses the connotation of the digital literacy divide,and refined the key factors that causes the digital literacy divide to appear.Based on the connotation of the digital literacy gap,revised the existing evaluation methods reasonably.As a result,a prior survey questionnaire of the status quo of the digital literacy gap in middle school students was constructed.The questionnaires were pre-tested online and then the pre-tested result be used for validating the reliability and validity of the survey questionnaire.Then the questionnaires were distributed in several middle schools in Wuhan City,the 430 questionnaires were recovered.SPSS 22.0 were used to conduct descriptive statistical analysis,reliability,validity analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis.According to the results of data analysis,the model was modified,and the present status of digital literacy gaps among middle school students was analyzed.The results show that the first digital divide among middle school students has nearly closed,but the situation of the digital literacy divide is not optimistic.With the advancement of grades,the digital cultivating gap has gradually narrowed.The factors directly affecting the digital literacy divide include Computer self-efficacy,information awareness,computer anxiety and individuals owning computers.External variables such as age directly affect Computer self-efficacy.Based on this,this paper proposes several methods to bridge the gap of digital literacy among middle school students:improve information technology education and focus on awareness training;improve information construction to bridge the first digital divide;improve computer self-efficacy and eliminate computer anxiety;build a digital citizenship education and promote the balanced development of education.
