Nowadays,classroom observation has become a kind of normalized and institutionalized teaching and researching activity in primary and secondary schools,it is of great significance in improving teachers' teaching and promoting the teacher professional development.The appearance of classroom observation tools marks that classroom observation gradually become standardized,scientific and professional.However,in recent years,the development and application of classroom observation tools have many problems,leading to the development stagnation,which leads it more difficult to have a breakthrough.This study aims to explore the further development of China's classroom observation tool and to clarify its future direction.Firstly,this study applies literature research methods,teases the development of classroom observation in purpose,guiding methods and application technology,and clears the evolution of classroom observation tools in form and content from the evolvement history of classroom observation.On this basis,this study gives the new definition for classroom observation tool,and classifies for it from four aspects:different subjects and grades,different observing view,different development orientation and different method.Secondly,this study selects LICC and CLASS,respectively,as the representative of the classic classroom observation tool in Chinese and America,then compare them from development program,structure and composition and application.Results show that the localization exploration of Chinese classroom observation tools has got achievements,but compared with the United States,there are still more shortage,for example,the development program thinks little of quality assessment;the structure is incomplete;the applied range is not wide.In order to further explore the reasons to the gap,study deeply analyzes the background of the classroom observation tools' development in America and reflects the reality of classroom observation tools' development in our country.Finally,study suggests that the further development of China's classroom observation tools should go on from three aspects:(1)pay attention to the quality evaluation,strengthen the construction of theory,to establish a systematic development program,and ensure the scientific nature of the system of tools;(2)construct standardized system,pay attention to the observer instruction,to form a complete structure,secure the normalization of the form of tools;(3)expand the tool value orientation,cite multivariate techniques,to facilitate broad scope of application,guarantee the diversity of practice of tools.
