On researching China society,guanxi is the key and embedded in the history change,thus it is important that transforming guanxi study's perspective to history.Starting with social history method,this article attempts to find the transformation and consistent elements of guanxi while social structure changes.Relaying on guanxi's power coming from obligation,Confucian tradition cloud answer the order question.Obligation derived from ethical culture is the main strength shaping guanxi,on the other hand,structure disorder because of interactions out of family and interest behaviors creates space for favor.Self have conscious ability not only value but interest,he searches for effective means to participate in the game of interests acquiring and competing widely.Using guanxi with strong power as tools,egotism designs its action strategies for interests acquiring and competing,rather than maintaining order.Meanwhile,what must be contributed to egotism is that constructing guanxi net centered on oneself flexibly becomes life's obligatory course,then break through closely blood and regional relations,and it's convenient for people to deal with interest problems outside the family which is high mobility.As the consequence of the interreaction between obligation and egotism,using guanxi as a instrument can be widely adopted.Guanxi action has two types,the obligation is the basis for the existence of “action of guanxi”,and egotism provides motive power for reproducing of “action by guanxi”.Both obligation and egotism are structural influential elements of guanxi,in duality perspective,we can attain a better framework to understand different forms of guanxi,and then a effective framework to interprete debates around guanxi.
