Research On Provincial Party Newspapers' Media Image Of Olympic Stars

Rio Olympic Games attracted billions of Chinese eyes is no exception.Into the mobile Internet era,people have undergone tremendous changes to obtain information and comments.The new platform has features of interaction and sharing,so that people can directly comment on the Olympic events.However,new media also has a lot of problems.The true and false information in the network is mixed,so that the traditional media,especially the party newspaper,plays an important role in guiding public opinion.In addition,the party newspaper has its advantages of talent resources.It is worth thinking about how to enhance its advantages and to avoid its shortages.Based on the above considerations,this paper will focus on the media image of the Olympic star in the provincial Party newspaper,and we want to use the text analysis,especially the grounded theory,to analyse the newspapaer in Nanfang Daily and Gansu Daily.The author hopes to summarize the media image of Olympic stars in newspapers.To summarize,this paper find that the provincial Party newspaper mainly embodies the Olympic stars' personal occupation image.In the articles,we also can find Olympic stars' character image,social role image and social communication image.Media focuses on the professional image of Olympic stars,but they also show other images of Olympic stars.From the perspective of ceremony culture,we can find that excellent athletic performance is the foundation if a sport athlete wants to be a hero,but only performance is not enough.The heroes of this age also need to have the appeal and they must have ability to encourage others.This shows that the provincial Party newspapers should highlight the human sides of Olympic stars.In addition,they can actively take advantage of the technology and write more in-depth reports.And they can also use the network resources to find news hot spots and attract readers' attention with exclusive comments.
