With the development of the times,basketball is also progressing,and has gradually entered a stage where the development of height and speed both are taken seriously.The level of basketball at home and abroad continues to improve,the requirements of basketball players also improve continuously.Athletes need to take advantages of the speed and height to compete for the advantages of time and space,which has become a specific and the inevitable development trend of basketball.In addition to the physical requirements of basketball athletes own,but also basketball needs through more scientific,adaptable,efficient training methods for athletes training.At present,Chinese training methods for basketball player are a little traditional,lacking of training methods innovation.And the intermittent training method has been proved to have good results in track and field,swimming and many other sports practice,which can effectively improve the athlete's physical fitness and athletic performance.Therefore,this study aims at exploring the scientific and reasonable of intermittent training method in basketball training,in order to improve the cardiovascular system and respiratory function of the basketball player,and improve the aerobic and anaerobic mixed metabolism of the athletes,thereby enhancing the athlete's technical and tactical ability.And providing theoretical support and scientific basis for coaches to design the training program.This research uses the methods of literature research,test comparison,experimental method and mathematical statistics and so on.First,it elaborates the development of the intermittent training method at home and abroad,so the definition and characteristics of intermittent training method are clarified,and summarizes the application of intermittent training method in the sport.Second the paper further researches the technical characteristics and tactical characteristics of basketball,focusing on the application of intermittent training method in basketball,which determines the theoretical basis and practical basis of this research.Then through the grouping experiment of Huazhong University of Science and Technology Basketball players,the research find that the intermittent training method has great influence on the physical quality and technical tactical ability of basketball.Through scientific and reasonable intermittent training method,it can effectively improve the basketball physical fitness and technical tactics ability of players.The research shows that the intermittent training method has different level of improvement for athlete's strength,speed,endurance,sensitivity,bounce quality and special technical and tactical ability,which is more obvious than the general training method.Finally,according to the conclusion of this study,putting forward some specific suggestions for the practice of intermittent training method.
