Chinese textbooks not only carry knowledge and information,but also are important carriers of spiritual culture.Foreign works are an indispensable part of the selection of Chinese textbooks.Throughout the development of Chinese textbooks,foreign text selection has entered the textbooks for a hundred years.At different stages,it presents different features,and has undergone significant changes in the selection of texts,number,subject matter and genre.To sort out the changes of foreign texts in senior high school Chinese textbooks,clarify their changing trends and characteristics,and explore the reasons for the changes are not only helpful to the research and teaching practice of senior high school Chinese education,but also of great practical significance in dealing with cultural diversity in the new era.The paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter introduces the research background and significance of the topic,and illustrates the research methods.The second chapter briefly combs the history of the evolution of the high school Chinese textbooks of PEP,focusing on the high school Chinese textbooks of the Ninth Edition PEP since the founding of New China,and makes a statistical analysis of the changes of foreign selected articles.From the aspects of content,quantity,style,country,era,value orientation and classical degree,the changes are analyzed in detail.Chapter three attributes the changes of the selected articles,explains the reasons of the changes from three aspects: the syllabus and curriculum standards,the development of educational thought and social changes,and explores the specific mechanism of the changes.Chapter IV starts from the changes in the selection of texts,reflecting on the existing problems,with a view to putting forward reasonable suggestions for the compilation of foreign works in future Chinese textbooks.By sorting out the changes of foreign texts,we can find that foreign texts in Chinese textbooks have gone through a process from rejection to cautious acceptance.In the future textbook selection,we must proceed from the standpoint of modernity,take humanism and aesthetics as the value orientation,take the development of students asThe final destination,accept excellent foreign literary works with a more open vision,and help students establish their national cultural identity in the multicultural turbulence.
