Teenagers are a special group,they are the future and hope of a country.The health level of teenagers can directly reflect the social development and medical and health level of a country or region.In order to promote the construction of "healthy China" and improve the health of our citizens,the State Council issued the "Outline for the ‘ Healthy China 2030 'Plan",the fourth chapter of the "Outline" emphasizes the need to strengthen health education,increase the intensity of school health education,and incorporate health education into the national education system.It also requires schools to regard health education as an important part of quality education in all education stages.The expectations of the country and the urgency of the reality have put forward new requirements for school health education in our country.Our primary health education has become more and more perfect after continuous reform.However,due to the lack of curriculum standards and specialized faculty,it has not developed a primary health education material that meets the needs of most children and can be widely circulated,making overall health education develop slowly.In comparison,American school Health education has a long history of development and is more mature in terms of curriculum standards,teachers' professional level and textbooks.Therefore,the author chooses Health&Wellness and Health,Hygiene and Nutrition,two editions of education textbooks for primary school Health in the United States for research.Through the use of literature analysis,comparative research and text analysis methods,detailed analysis of these two textbooks from content to structure.It is hoped that it can provide a good reference for the development of education textbooks of primary school health in China and promote the development of education cause of primary school health in China.This paper first analyzes the background of health education background and textbooks in American schools,and summarizes the overall situation of American primary school health education materials.Then from the four aspects of the overall structure,unit structure,presentation and content of the textbook,the specific characteristics of the two editions of the textbook are studied and analyzed.Later,from the perspectives of the content,design,supporting resources and evaluation mechanism of the textbook,the textbooks are rich in content,novel in design,focus on thecultivation of health skills,rich in supporting teaching resources,and pay attention to the four characteristics of students' self-engagement.For the construction of China's primary health education textbooks,the choice of teaching materials covers a variety of fields,the combination of teaching knowledge and practice,rich layout design and supporting resources,and opportunities for students to fully participate and practice.
