Learning progression can effectively describe the process of students' cognitive development has received extensive attention and recognition of international science education,a large number of studies have shown that learning progression facilitates teaching.So it is necessary to import learning progression to geography teaching,this paper attempts to study the advanced combined with the teaching design,design based on learning advanced teaching to help students' cognitive ability and development,through the appropriate external intervention(teaching)step by step to strengthen student's understanding of the geographical concept,to help students achieve cognition from low level to high level of advanced,thus causes the student to obtain the desired advanced,eventually to achieve the objective of the master.The teaching of “Earth's movement” in high school has many challenges.Based on “Earth's movement” as the content carrier,starting from students' cognition,taking learning mode as the advanced variable.which is divided into three dimensions,including learning by memorizing,learning by doing,learning by experiencing,Finally,it forms the advanced framework of “Earth's movement”.Through this framework,the test questions are complied and the advanced teaching is designed.The experiment is carried out in Xi 'an middle school.A class as a control group to teach in the order of teaching materials,a class as an experimental group with progression instruction design for teaching,To test the topic as a evaluation tool which can reflect the teaching effect of the two kinds of teaching,explore the applicability and effectiveness of advanced teaching in concept learning and capacity development.In this study,the teaching design of "the movement of the earth" based on the learning progression was proposed and empirically tested,and good results were achieved in teaching.Designing targeted teaching methods;Create real problem situation,reflect discipline value.In view of the deficiencies in the teaching design based on learning progression,Suggestions for improvement are put forward.Firstly,students should be taken as the main body and the autonomy of students should be respected.Secondly,teachers' guidance should be decreased step by step during the teaching implementation.Strengthen the collection and processing of classroom teaching information.
