With the development of education informatization,the application of artificial intelligence technology in the field of education has been paid more and more attention,and Intelligent Tutoring System is one of the most widely used research fields in the field of education.At the same time,with the increasing of educational technology products,people are focusing on their user experience more and more.In this background,the research on the user experience of Intelligent Tutoring System can help to illustrate the situation of Intelligent Tutoring System applied in education,leading Intelligent Tutoring System to play a better role in the field of education,so as to promote personalized teaching,and further promote the development of educational information.What functions do teachers and students mainly use when applying Intelligent Tutoring System?How about the user experience of Intelligent Tutoring System from the perspective of teachers and students in general?Are there any differences in the user experience of Intelligent Tutoring System among teachers and students with different individual characteristics?What suggestions do teachers and students have for the design and improvement of Intelligent Tutoring System as well as for the application of Intelligent Tutoring System in teaching?These four research questions are what this study focused on.Based on the literature research as well as preliminary research,the study built the research framework of the user experience of Intelligent Tutoring System,composed of six dimensions including Aesthetic,Learnability,Efficiency,Reliability,Attractiveness and Satisfaction,covering five levels including Surface Plane,Skeleton Plane,Structure Plane,Scope Plane and Strategy Plane.Corresponding to the six dimensions,a questionnaire was designed on the basis of adapting the existing self-report scales for user experience.After choosing two representative Intelligent Tutoring System,namely "Zhixue&Zhike" System and"Zhi Tong Yun" System,questionnaire surveys for teachers and students were performed in a senior middle school marked Y and a junior middle school marked J,so as to analyze and study the user experience of Intelligent Tutoring System from perspective of teachers and students.Finally,there were ninety-six questionnaires from teachers and one thousand three hundred and three questionnaires from students,so that date was collected for statistics and analysisGenerally,the main achievements and conclusions of the study are as follows.(1)Among the eighteen common functions of the existing Intelligent Tutoring System,the most commonly used functions by teachers and students are homework exercises,examination and test,automatic marking,data statistics,error collation and online learning.(2)Generally speaking,the recognition scores of the user experience of teachers and students both are only slightly higher than the median value on 6 dimensions of the existing Intelligent Tutoring System.It can be seen that the user experience level of the existing Intelligent Tutoring System is not high and there is much room for improvement.(3)From the perspective of teachers,there is no significant difference in the user experience of Intelligent Tutoring System among teachers with different individual characteristics,such as gender,age,subject,teaching age,grade and time of using the system,except for individual dimensions.(4)From the perspective of students,generally there are significant differences in user experience of Intelligent Tutoring System among students with different individual characteristics.In more details,there is significant difference in the user experience of Intelligent Tutoring System among students with different genders in some dimensions;while the user experience of Intelligent Tutoring System among students with different individual characteristics,such as age,grade and time of using the system,shows significant difference in most dimensions,and the characteristic grade can explain significantly the differences in real.(5)From the perspective of teachers and students,this study investigates the advantages,disadvantages as well as the use strategies of the existing Intelligent Tutoring System,and summarizes the optimization suggestions and Application Strategies of Intelligent Tutoring System,so as to enhance the user experience of the Intelligent Tutoring System.On the hand,in the design and optimization of the Intelligent Tutoring System,it is important to improve the efficiency when teachers and students apply the system to teaching and studying,by enriching the learning resource base,improving the compatibility and stability of the system,improving the classification and sorting function,and enhancing the interactive feedback function.In this way,the user experience of teachers and students in using the Intelligent Tutoring System can be improved.(6)In the application strategy of the Intelligent Tutoring System,it is of significance to improve the systematic use of homework exercises,strengthen knowledge consolidation based on big data,strengthen interaction and timely feedback by using the system,make full use of the system to mobilize learning resources,and adjust teaching and learning on the basis of learning situation analysis and timely adjustment.In this way,the Intelligent Tutoring System can assist teachers to carry out personalized teaching and help students to carry out personalized learning.
