At the end of the 20 th century,in order to cultivate talents with innovative thinking,scientific literacy,and critical thinking to ensure the country's overall national strength,the United States proposed the integration education of science(S),technology(T),engineering(E),and mathematics(M).",known as "STEM" education.The development of STEM education has attracted the attention of all countries in the world.With the research of STEM education in various countries,more and more people are aware of the importance of artistic thinking to STEAM education,and advocate the addition of “Arts” to STEM.Education is STEAM.Mr.Cai Yuanpei pointed out in "Cai Yuanpei's Aesthetic Education Collection": "The nationals of cultural progress,since the implementation of scienceeducationIn particular,we must popularize art education.” General Secretary Xi Jin ping stressed in his reply to the old professor of Central America: "Art education is an important part of aesthetic education."Art can cultivate students' critical thinking and innovative thinking,which is conducive to shaping students into "complete people."China has advocated quality education for many years,and it is required to cultivate people with all-round development of morality,intelligence,beauty and beauty.However,art education has always been ignored because it is influenced by traditional concepts.Steam education focuses on the integration of disciplines and integrates art knowledge with other disciplines.It enables students to learn art knowledge from different angles,which is conducive to cultivating students' comprehensive ability and solving practical problems in life.Through investigation and research,the author found that the art discipline can help students to connect different disciplines,and the steam concept canhelp the art classroom to revitalize and enable students to open their minds.Therefore,the author chooses to learn from foreign steam courses,combined with the characteristics of Chinese art education and students,based on the steam concept,focusing on art disciplines,to explore the steam curriculum suitable for junior high school students in China.Through the literature research method,the author studies the development and concept of steam education,and uses the questionnaire survey method to investigate the front line teachers,to understand the development of the steam curriculum in China,the teachers' awareness of the steam concept,and the students in the junior high school.A view of the integration of art and other disciplines.Using the educational internship,the art classroom teaching based on the steam concept was practiced in the junior high school art class,and the practical results were analyzed.This article has five chapters:The first chapter: expounds the research background,purpose and significance of this paper;defines the concept of stem education and steam education;analyzes the development of steam education at home and abroad;and the shortcomings of existing research and the research methods of this paper.The second chapter: from the theoretical basis,practical significance,questionnaire analysis and other aspects of the feasibility of junior high school art classroom teaching based on the steam concept.The third chapter compares with the traditional art classroom from six aspects: subject resource integration,teaching design,teaching methods,knowledge understanding,teaching organization and teaching evaluation.Explain the application significance of steam concept in junior high school art classroom teaching.The fourth chapter: This chapter is the focus of this paper.It explores the design steps of the junior high school art classroom teaching based on the steam concept.According to the steps,the eighth grade of the book "changing waste into treasure" is designed and practiced,and carried out.Analysis ofpractical effects.Chapter 5: Summarize this article,through research and practice,make recommendations on the “localization” of the steam course.
