Since 2015,STEAM education in China has developed rapidly,and STEAM education research has also shown a gradual prosperity.However,primary and secondary schools are still prone to problems in the process of transforming the STEAM education concept into curriculum and teaching:(1)lacking of in-depth activity content;(2)having task activities that emphasize "doing" light "learning";(3)having low-level classroom teaching morphology.In view of the above problems,this paper establishes the research direction of strategies and methods for solving problems from the perspective of micro-teaching activities.It adopts a design-based research method and carries out three rounds of practical research.Beside,Literature research methods,questionnaires,interviews,and other research methods have also been comprehensively used in the process of formative research.Based on research questions and research methods,this paper conducts the following three aspects of research:(1)Elemental analysis and framework design of STEAM teaching activities;(2)Construction of STEAM teaching activity design patterns;(3)Application of STEAM teaching activity design patterns.Elements of discipline analysis,elements of activities analysis,and framework of the STEAM teaching activities,design propose strategies to solve the above three problems.From the perspective of teaching activities,we explore innovative ways of combining “doing” with “learning” to improve the integration of STEAM learning,degree and promote students' deep-learning and promote the orderly development of STEAM classroom teaching activities.On this basis,the STEAM teaching activity design pattern is preliminarily constructed and applied to the model.The research process is as follows:(1)First,the STEAM teaching activity design pattern is preliminarily constructed through the literature research method,and the first round of teaching practice is conducted to initially explore the STEAM teaching conditions,teaching design,and teaching implementation;(2)Then,based on the preliminary constructed STEAM teaching activity design pattern,designing the teaching case in detail to carry out the second round of teaching practice,discovering the deficiency and problems of this model in the process,and improving them;(3)Finally,adjusting the teaching case further according to the improved model,designing and implementing the third round of teaching practice,using questionnaires and interviews to investigate and analyze the teaching effects of this model teaching application,in order to test the feasibility and effectiveness of the model.Through the results of students' works,questionnaire surveys,teacher-student interviews,and classroom observations,it is demonstrated that the STEAM teaching activity design pattern proposed in this paper is effective and feasible under certain teaching situations.The good teaching effect indicates that this model has a certain positive effect on the effective teaching of STEAM classroom and the achievement of the training goal of STEAM education.
