Objective:In recent years,the rate of myopia and obesity among children and adolescents in China continues to rise,and the decline of physical health of children and adolescents,the main reason is the lack of physical activity.School physical education is an important way to promote students' physical activity,develop sports skills and develop exercise habits.The purpose of this study is to know the level of physical activity in physical education classes in Middle School students in Shanghai,and to explore the effect of individual factors in physical education classes on Moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA)time.Method:In this study,the literature method,instrument measurement method and mathematical statistics method are used.The instrument measurement method used accelerators to measure the physical activity level of 4 middle school students from different districts of Shanghai.1214 students from 64 physical education classes were measured at their physical activity levels,there were 568 boys and 646 girls,with average age of 13.48±1.56.The corresponding instrument measured the height,weight and lung capacity of students.The mathematical statistics method carried on the statistical analysis of the individual factors that influenced the physical activity level and the Moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA)time in the physical education class of middle school students.Results:The level of physical activity in 40 minutes of regular physical education class in middle school students in Shanghai: the proportion of sedentary behavior in physical education classes in junior high school students averaged 25.8%,the proportion of light intensity physical activity time was 32.9% on average,and the proportion of MVPA time was 40.8% on average.(2)Demographic factors(gender,grade)influence on high school students in physical education class MVPA time has a significant difference(P<0.01),male physical education class Moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA)time is significantly higher than girls;except the grade 6,the grade 7?8?9 with the growth of physical education class MVPA time showed a downward trend(P<0.01).(3)The effect of individual factors on MVPA in physical education classes for middle school students: there is no significant effect of BMI in physical education class MVPA time;high skill level students and moderate skills students in physical education class no significant difference in MVPA time,high skill level student physical education class MVPA time higher than low skill level students(P<0.01).The higher the vital capacity weight index the higher the amount of MVPA time in the physical education class.Conclusion:(1)Shanghai middle school students in physical education 40.8% of the time is carried out in the middle-intensity physical activities,less than 50% of the international recommended amount.(2)Physical education class MVPA time: boys significantly higher than girls;(3)There was no significant difference in physical education time for students with different BMI levels MVPA time.(4)Exercise skill level and vital capacity weight index had a significant effect on MVPA time in students' physical education classes.
