The Cuttings Dryer is the most important supporting equipment for the "’drilling fluid not landing" system in the field of drilling waste treatment.During the use of offshore drilling rigs,problems such as severe scraper wear,low separation efficiency,and high moisture content in the solid phase after separation are common.In order to solve the above problems,starting from the aspects of wear theory,structural parameters,particle properties,etc.,Firstly,a model of Cuttings Dryer with curved and straight scraper was established for erosion wear analysis and fatigue analysis.According to the analysis results,the Cuttings Dryer with curved scraper was selected to study the separation efficiency.Then,parameters related to the factors affecting the separation effect of the Cuttings Dryer with curved scraper are optimized.Finally,the optimal parameter combination is obtained through simulation verification,which is of great significance for the follow-up study of the Cuttings Dryer.The specific research work has the following aspects:(1)Investigating the field application case of the WSM-01 36"cuttings dryer,understand the research status of centrifugal separation equipment and the current status and problems of the application of cuttings dryer,and determine the necessity and importance of research.(2)Understand the reseafth progress of erosion wear and wear mechanism.Based on the understanding of structural features and working principles of the Cuttings Dryer,analyze the particles in the centrifugal separation field and find out the wear law.(3)Based on the research status of squeegee erosion wear,Fluent software was used to study the effects of wear distribution and particle size,concentration,and velocity on blade erosion wear of straight and curved Cuttings Dryer.The results show that:whether the straight Cuttings Dryer or the curved Cuttings Dryer,the scraper wear is the most serious;When the particle size is 40 μm,the blade wear rate is the highest.When the particle size is greater than70 μm,the wear rate tends to be stable;With the increase of the particle mass concentration and impact velocity,the blade wear rate increases accordingly.When the impact velocity is 5m/s Between 7.5m/s,both leaf blade wear are relatively small;The curved Cuttings Dryer is superior to the straight Cuttings Dryer both in terms of wear rate or fatigue life.(4)Determine the curved Cuttings Dryer as the separation efficiency analysis object,use Fluent software to analyze the influence of structural parameters and operation parameters on the separation efficiency from the aspects of gap,half cone angle and so on.The results showed that the optimum range of the separation efficiency of the cuttings dryer is between 3>mm and 5mm between the scraper and screen,between 25° and 27.50 the semi-cone angle of the rotor,the volume fraction of solid phase above 40%,and the particle size above 0.07mm,speed 800rpm-1000rpm,rotation difference between 12rpm.(5)Using orthogonal analysis of Minitab software,the parameters affecting the separation efficiency were analyzed.The three parameters with the greatest influence were analyzed by response surface analysis.After interaction and optimization of multiple parameters,the optimal parameter combination was obtained and simulation verification was performed.The results showed that the separation efficiency of curved Cuttings Dryer increased by 16.65%and reached 89.95%,and the moisture content of bottom outlet decreased by 7.38%and reduced to 5.55%.
