A large amount of wastewater containing high-concentration organic pollutants is produced during the latex production process. After coagulation and pressure filtration, latex wastewater is dewatered into sludge, and the output is huge. There is no suitable method to treat this sludge.Under the environment of sustainable development, the rich styrene butadiene polymer in latex sludge can be recycled, which will have a broad application prospect. In this paper, the technological conditions and mechanism of the preparation of sulfonated latex sludge adsorbent material and aminated latex sludge adsorbent material by desulfurization sludge produced by latex as raw materials by sulfonation and amination treatment, respectively, are used in aqueous solutions The adsorption and removal of dyes in the dyestuff were studied through the adsorption process conditions, adsorption kinetics and thermodynamics of different dyes, and the adsorption characteristics and adsorption mechanism of the dyes by the products were discussed.Sulfonation modification of latex sludge with 1,2-dichloroethane as solvent and concentrated sulfuric acid as sulfonating agent. The optimal dosage of concentrated sulfuric acid is 3.5 mL/g,the optimal reaction time is 3.0 h,and the optimal temperature is 80?.The obtained sulfonated latex sludge has a larger specific surface area than the raw material, and sulfonic acid groups have been introduced on the surface to prepare a cationic dye adsorbent with good performance. The sulfonated latex sludge was added to200 mg/L of cationic blue X-GRRL solution at 25?,the dosage was 200 mg/L,the pH was 5.5,and the adsorption capacity was 972.2 mg/g.The pseudo-second-order kinetic model can describe the adsorption kinetic process of sulfonated latex sludge properly. The adsorption isothermal curve follows the Langmuir model, which calculated the theoretical maximum adsorption capacity of 1034.3 mg/g.The adsorption behavior conforms to the adsorption theory of single molecular layer. The adsorption process is spontaneous, endothermic(?H = 32.36 kJ/mol)and entropy increase(?S = 133.86J/mol).The aromatic ring of in butadiene latex sludge was grafted with chlorine acetyl group by Friedel-Craft reaction with using chlorine acetyl chloride and anhydrous AlCl3 as reaction reagents and catalysts respectively.According the chlorine content of the product as an indicator, the effects of solvents, reagents, catalysts, reaction temperature and time on chloroacetylation were investigated through a single factor experiment.Using dichloroethane as solvent,10 mL of chloroacetyl chloride and 1.5 g of anhydrousaluminum chloride were added to every 2 g of dry latex sludge, and the reaction was carried out at 30?.for 8 hours as the optimal process condition. The resulting product had a chlorine content of 3.2 %.The chloroacetylated latex sludge with the same chlorine content was reacted with a variety of amination reagents under the same conditions, and the optimal reaction reagents were selected based on the adsorption capacity of the product to the anionic dye as the evaluation index. The results showed that the amination product of polyethylenimine(1800)had the best adsorption effect on acid bright red GR with a capacity of 230.8 mg/g.
