BackgroundHypertension and diabetes are the most important reason of non-communicable chronic diseases that threaten global human health. The morbidity of hypertension and diabetes increase. With the rapid development of economy, changes of eating habits and life style, the increasing urban population and social aging, has become one of the important global public health problem.Elderly patients with chronic diseases not only effect the living state of the elderly,is the key of national health career plan.Hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia are common chronic diseases in the elderly China, and are also the major risk factors for heart disease and stroke.Type 2 diabetes is the main type of diabetes in the elderly. At present,China's awareness and control rate of hypertension and diabetes is lower than the level of developed countries, and there is still a big gap in carrying out and popularizing the relevant knowledge about prevention and treatment of hypertension and diabetes for the target population, guiding the healthy lifestyle and the level of health care service. Therefore,to explore chronic disease management, improve national health quality, carry out individualized health intervention, intensify and standardize medical service level is the way to achieve the rational allocation of medical resources and make the national health level of our country be prevented and controlled.ObjectriveA number of studies in the world have shown that noncommunicable diseases-like diabetes, cardiopathy, cancers and chronicrespiratory disease could be effective prevention and control. However, unhealthy lifestyle had been a giant risk factor for hypertension and diabetic, including the wrong dietary pattern, lack of exercise, excess strain, smoking, and drinking. In this study,we use population-based cross-sectional study,to monitor risk factor of chronic diseases in order to master the current situation and trends of hypertension and diabetic in Wangzuo town,Fengtai district of Beijing. And we want to establish the effective health management of chronic diseases and provide the scientific basis for intervention strategy of hypertension and diabetic in Wangzuo town,as well as to provide powerful support to evaluate health services and the effects of intervention in hypertension and diabetic. And this study will provide scientific basis for prevention and control senile chronic diseases in other countryside of China.MethodsThrough studying a great number of relevant literatures,we ensure a full understanding for the related risk factor's research progress of hypertension and diabetic in elder population. We would confirm this study method on realities of situation in Wangzuo town.We use informed consent-based cross-sectional study,by well-trained investigators and the inquired subject was elder population.A unified questionnaire was included in personal situation, lifestyle and physical exercise behavior, initial medical history and food frequency questionnaires.Physical examination is a regular physical examination and we would collect blood sample to make blood routine and biochemical test.ResultsAbout 991 subjects joined the research, including 368 male and 623 female.Typical results are shown below:1.The hypertension incidence rate in male is 36.7%,and incidence rate in female is 36.6%,there are insignificant differences between males and females. The diabetic incidence rate in male is 10.6%,and incidence rate in female is 7.1%,as well as male incidence was higher than female.2.There are significant effects on smoking and drinking for the hypertension incidence rate(P<0.05).3.There are significant effects on consuming too much salt for diabetic incidence rate(P<0.001),and the rate is 11.8%(consuming too much salt)and 5.4%(regular)respectively;the hypertension incidence rate is 46.7%(consuming too much salt)and 27.5%(regular)respectively,and there are significant differences(P<0.05).4.The diabetic incidence rates in moderate intensity level are only 2.9%.5.The gender age drinking and BMI would effect on the hypertension incident rate, and it would lead to diabetes when daily intake of fruit below 200 grams.6.The central obesity of incident rate in Wangzuo town is 70.8%,with the increasing of BMI and WC index, the hypertension incidence rate are starting to pick up pace but the diabetic incidence rate is unchanged.7.WHtR,Wc would effect on the hypertension incidence rate(P<0.05)and the sensitivity and specificity of WHtR are relatively balanced in obesity index of different sex.ConclusionRecently, noncommunicable diseases-like diabetes, hypertension would be an urgent issue to be solved in the current construction of China, and we found the hypertension and diabetes incidence rate are higher in Wangzuo town.1.In this study,we found drinking, smoking, consuming too much salt, gender, age, obesity and fruit intake would be a risk factor for the hypertension and diabetes incidence rate,as well as obesity cannot be ignored.2.Among three index of measuring obesity,WHtR index are higher than other index for hypertension warning, and the central obesity and hypertension effectiveness have significant and positive influences...
