Objective: To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia in Changan community of Dongguan City in 2014, and provide the theoretical basis for comprehensive control and prevention of chronic disease in this region. Methods: Residents over the age of 18 were enrolled through multi-stage stratified random sampling method by adopting the combination of concentrated and household survey. Comparison between groups was performed using chi-square test with a significance level of P <0.01. The potential risk factors were analyzed by Logistic regression analysis.Results:1. 5097 people were investigated, average age was(55.9 + 13.4), including 2393 male, 47% of the total, average age was(53.1 + 13.8) and 2704 female, 53% of the total, average age was(58.3+13.4).2. The prevalence of hypertension was 37.8%, of which 44.7% was male and 31.7%was female.the standardized prevalence rate was 32.3%, the male was 38.3%, and the female was 25.4%.The prevalence rate of dyslipidemia was 42.2%, male was 48.3%,36.8% for females, the standardized prevalence rate was 33.9%, 40.3% for males and females was 26.8%, and the abnormal of triglyceride(TG), was 20.7%, total cholesterol(TC) abnormal rate was 14.1%, high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) abnormal rate of 26.0%, low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)abnormal rate was 4.6%. Among them, the abnormal rate of triglyceride and high density liporotein were mainly in the male, while the female mainly showed the abnormal cholesterol and low density lipoprotein.Diabetes mellitus(DM) prevalence rate was 6.0%, male DM prevalence rate was 6.1%, female DM prevalence rate was6.0%, gender differences without statistical significance(χ2=5.825, P = 0.016), the standardized prevalence rate was 5.6%, 5.6% for males, female was 4.9%.3. There was a positive correlation between the hypertension and gender, age, dyslipidemia, overweight and obesity, of which, dyslipidemia(OR=1.384),overweight(OR=1.358) and obesity(OR=2.109)were associated with hypertension significantly. Among different types of blood lipids, triglycerides(OR=1.473) andhigh-density lipoprotein cholesterol(OR=1.301) were associated with high blood pressure significantly. TG, TC, HDL-C, LDL-C, IFG, overweight, obesity and smoking were positively correlated with DM, of which, IFG(OR=7.280) and TG(OR=2.417) were significantly associated with DM.related.Conclusion: The total prevalence rate of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia was as high as 62.2% in Changan community of Dongguan City, which was significantly higher than the national average. Chronic diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia, have become the major health problems affecting residents of Changan community of Dongguan City. The residents had a relatively high prevalence, but lower rates of awareness, treatment and control. It is necessary to carry out education, prevention and control on hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia, and to establish a series of standards for the management and treatment on cases of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia.
