Background Early postoperative inflammatory small bowel obstruction is a type of intestinal obstruction that occurs after abdominal surgery and exhibits mechanical and dynamic coexistence. The incidence of the disease is high, the diagnosis is difficult,it is easy to be misdiagnosed and mistreated, and the effect of forced surgery is not good. Therefore, most scholars advocate that the disease is mainly conservative treatment, but the treatment cycle of conservative treatment of Western medicine alone is longer and easy to increase The incidence of complications during hospitalization increases the patient’s financial burden and psychological pressure. Therefore,it is very important to find more effective treatment methods to improve the curative effect. Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture at gastrointestinal lower acupoints and Glauber’s salt compress on the basis of conventional Western medicine treatment of early postoperative inflammatory bowel obstruction, and to explore whether the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with adjuvant therapy for early postoperative inflammatory bowel obstruction It is better than conventional Western medicine treatment, and explores a new plan for clinical treatment of early postoperative inflammatory bowel obstruction. Methods The study subjects were 48 patients diagnosed with early postoperative inflammatory bowel obstruction in the General Surgery Department of Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from January 2018 to January 2020.According to the principle of randomization, the enrolled patients were randomly assigned to treatment group and control group,24 cases each. The control group received conventional Western medicine treatment, including:fasting water, gastrointestinal decompression;maintaining water, electrolyte and acid-base balance;total parenteral nutrition support;application of somatostatin, proton pump inhibitors, soapy water enema,as appropriate Spectrum antibiotics and related symptomatic treatment. On this basis, the treatment group was given acupuncture at the gastrointestinal lower acupoints(bilateral Zusanli, bilateral upper giant deficiency, bilateral lower giant deficiency)combined with Glauber’s salt umbilical compress for 7 days, and compared the symptom relief of the two groups of patients,Intestinal function recovery, serum C-reactive protein, plasma albumin levels, serum sodium, potassium ion levels and clinical effectiveness. Results Comparing the gender, age, age distribution, primary disease, surgical method, surgical approach, anesthesia method, imaging data, and albumin distribution level of the two groups of patients at the time of admission, the difference was not statistically significant 0.05),there is a balance between the groups, and the data are comparable. Before treatment, the two groups of patients were not statistically significant in terms of symptom relief, intestinal function recovery, and serum CRP and plasma albumin levels(P>0.05),which was comparable. After treatment,(1)Evaluation of symptom scores:The scores of abdominal distension, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting and total symptom scores of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);(2)evaluation of intestinal function:The recovery time of bowel sounds in the treatment group, the recovery time of anus recovery and defecation were shorter than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);(3)laboratory indicators:1)serum CRP level:two groups There was no statistically significant difference in serum CRP levels between the first day and the third day of treatment(P>0.05);after 7 days of treatment, the serum CRP levels of the two groups decreased to varying degrees, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2)There was no significant difference in ALB levels between the two groups of patients on day 1,day 3 and day 7(P>0.05).3)Blood sodium and potassium levels:The two groups of patients measured sodium and potassium ion levels on the first day of enrollment, the third day of treatment, and the seventh day,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).(4)Effectiveness:After treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 91.67%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 79.17%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In both groups of patients,no adverse reactions such as skin allergies occurred during the treatment. Conclusion Based on the conventional treatment of western medicine, acupuncture at gastrointestinal lower acupoints combined with Glauber’s salt umbilical abdomen therapy is used to treat early postoperative inflammatory bowel obstruction.Acupuncture at the lower gastrointestinal acupoints combined with Glauber’s salt navel can promote gastrointestinal peristalsis in patients with early postoperative inflammatory bowel obstruction, regulate intestinal function, inhibit inflammation, accelerate the recovery time of intestinal function, quickly relieve intestinal obstruction symptoms, and improve clinical efficacy. And no obvious adverse reactions occurred in clinical application, and the safety was good.
