The study of achievement motivation and its influencing factors has been the hot topics in the study of psychology.But most studies focus on internal factors on the impact of achievement motivation,and ignore the effect of external factors.With the deepening of the research,more and more researchers begin to pay close attention to the significant influence of external factors on achievement motivation.This research will be external factors(social status)and internal factors(general self-efficacy)combined to investigate the effects on achievement motivation.The literature review mainly summarizes the achievement motivation.social status,self-efficacy theory,concept,development of measurement methods and related research,and provides basis for the study of hypothesis.The study analyzes the differences of college students’ achievement motivation,social status,general self-efficacy in demographic variables,and summarizes the relationships among social status,self-efficacy and achievement motivation,then build the structural equation model.to provide the basis for the development of the mental health of College students.And the study can provide the basis for the development of the college students ’ psychological health.The study was conducted among 1170 college students of six universities in the eastern,central and western.This study has two purposes:(1)To explore the differences of social status,general self-efficacy and achievement motivation in demographic variables.(2)To explore the relationships among social status.general self-efficacy and achievement motivation.According to the results of this study,through the analysis of the data,we get the following conclusions:(1)There are significant differences in gender of college students’ general self-efficacy,achievement motivation and the pursuit of success,boys higher than girls.(2)There are significant grade differences in college students’ SSS.the freshman to senior showed a trend of gradually increased,freshman<sophomore<Juniors<Seniors;Avoid failure exists significant grade differences,a freshman significantly lower than sophomore,junior students.(3)There are significant regional differences of college students’ SES.East area SES>central area SES>West area SES;College students’ SSS does not exist significant regional diffrences;College students’ achievement motivation exists significant regional differences,achievements motivation of west area significantly above central;The dimension of pursuing success are significant differences among different regions,western area were significantly higher than in Eastern and central regions;There are no significant differences in the dimension of avoiding failure.(4)There are significant differences between SES and SSS of urban and rural college students.SES and SSS of urban students are significantly higher than that of rural students.(5)There are significant differences between only-child college students’ SSS and non-only-child college Students’,only-child college Students in SSS are significantly higher than non-only-child college students;and non-only-child college students have higher achievement motivation and the motivation of pursuing success.(6)College students’ SSS and general selfefficacy and achievement motivation have a significant positive correlation.College student’ SES and general self-efficacy and achievement motivation has no significant correlation.(7)The SES of college students not only from SSS and general self-efficacy affects achievement motivation,but also directly aftfects the achievement motivation of collegye students,SSS and general self-efficacy plays a mediating role.
