Research On Funeral Rites In Southern Anhui

Since ancient times,funeral culture has been endowed with rich and changeable elements and connotations in different dynasties and different humanities,forming a unique cultural category of etiquette and ceremony which is systematized and inclusive.The traditional funeral culture is declining day by day,which makes the living environment narrow day by day because of the incompatibility with the modern environment.This situation forces us to speed up the research and protection of inheritance.Therefore,according to the characteristics of funeral culture,the author chooses Changliu Village in Southern Anhui Province as the site for the study of funeral culture in the south of Anhui Province,based on the factors such as region,degree of change and representativeness of connotation,etc.Using the combination of field investigation and literature research,this paper makes reference to the cultural people.The research methodology of class,folklore and art has recorded the process of local funeral etiquette and the etiquette ceremony derived from it,and has deeply understood the origin,connotation,development path and present situation of the funeral culture in southern Anhui.In the course of investigating the funeral etiquette in the field and combing the evolution and development of the funeral culture in southern Anhui,the author finds the following problems: the development requirements of funeral culture in modern environment are not in line with the needs of real life;Under the background of modern society,the protection and inheritance of funeral culture are obstructed and long.The formation and development of funeral etiquette in southern Anhui benefited from the prosperity of economy,Confucian culture and Neo-Confucianism in southern Anhui.The root cause of the gradual disappearance of funeral etiquette is that the rapid development of modern society has changed the traditional social outlook and social system of China.With the development of globalization and the establishment of modern society,modern culture and traditional culture are separated from each other,and the living environment of traditional culture is precipitous.Based on the research and analysis of the field investigation area,the author tries to find out how to make the traditional funeral culture coexist harmoniously with the modern society and develop in a balanced way from the point of view of non-posthumous protection.
