| With the development of economy,the public life is becoming more and more abundantwhich makes the frequency of outgoing increasing.In a brand new field of the new media,the information’s transmission ways become wider and wider with the exploration of the science and technology.Thus the whole nation has entered the digital information age.The way of obtaining information has been changed with the entirely new features of the times,which brings gradual transition of the information media,causing from traditional static to the dynamic based on the screen.However,the problems are daily on the increase including the acceleration of urbanization process,the increase in the urban population,expansion of urban construction’s scope,public transportation pressure and so on.The guide system is put forward the new design requirements,which has been a guide under the new era.Being the significant information media of human civilization,characters have conveyed information as the visual elements most directly perceived through the senses all the time.What is more important is that the status of characters can not be replaced by graphics and color in the guide system.The system is so huge that cannot be satisfied with narrow public space.A large number of guide information can’t be showed on the traditional static information carriers any more.The guide system is more flexible than traditional system in field of the new media.But poor visibility of characters:guide information that can not be transmitted accurately and efficiently,not on a high level of standardization and unification dissatisfaction of the public guide environment’s urgent needs and a series of problems have arisen as a result of characters design in the process of upgrading the traditional media to the screen media.How to solve these problems is the core of this paper so that characters can convey gLuide information in the screen media realizing the unity of visibility,identifiability and readability.According to the actual application costs and other factors,LED lattice screen appeared the most can be the carrier of the guide system in a field of the new media at home so far.Launch design and research of screen font and find that foreign application theory is relatively mature.Make full use of western learning to analyze the outstanding foreign character design in the gLuide system.The paper goes deep into the analysis on London subway font Johnston,German BIN standard and JapaneseGuide font close to Chinese.At the same time,sum up methods and try to apply to the design of Chinese font based on the screen as the information carrier.The paper introduces the evolution of the font design in the guide system,design requirements and methods as order.It proceeds with multiple angles,which consist of the change of carrier characteristics,Ergonomics,setting method of guide system,visual perception,the study of the western style font’s design method,characters of Chinese font,etc.As a result of the research of the thesis,some methods are acquired of the font design in the guide system,which is in a field of the new media.Finally guide font design”Tianjin metro line three South Station to TianJin Railway Station region" is formed with the screen as the carrier,based on the 16*16 lattice grid.The purpose of this study is to improve the uniform conditions of Information and characters’ visibility,identifiability and readability in the guide system,which is in a field of the new media.Also to enhance the display effects of digital font and to reflect the design of people-oriented in the guide system.Suggestions can be acquired for Chinese font design on the LED lattice screen at this stage by analysing the design requirements of new media font.It comes to be the first priority to define standardized design.In order to improve standardizing display condition of the font in the guide system.Perfect the theoretical vacancy of the lattice Chinese font.Push the process of standardizing design of Chinese font in a field of the new media. |
