This paper focuses on Building Chinese Language through Reading and Writing,a junior Chinese language textbook published by Huazhong Normal University Press in 2013.And a contrastive analysis is conducted between Approach:Introductory Chinese-Reading and Writing and Developing Chinese-Elementary Reading and writing Course.Through the analysis and discussion of Building Chinese Language through Reading and Writing of entry style,the features of four Chinese elements and practice,it reveals the features of the Building Chinese Language through Reading and Writing and provides reference for Chinese teachers and learners.The paper also puts forward some suggestions for the teaching of Chinese characters and topic writing,and then gives a teaching design.This article is divided into six chapters:The first chapter is the introduction.Including the introduction of Building Chinese Language through Reading and Writing,the background and significance of the research,the situation of Chinese teaching materials and the teaching of reading and writing course,the research methods of this paper.The second chapter introduces the writing concept,the writing system and the layout features of Building Chinese Language through Reading and Writing.The textbook is written according to the style of the new words,Chinese characters,keywords,core dialogue,text,comments,and practice.The page is printed in color and it uses a lot of pictures.The third chapter is the analysis of the features of the language elements in the Building Chinese Language through Reading and Writing,including phonetics,vocabulary,grammar and Chinese characters.There are 464 words in the Building Chinese Language through Reading and Writing,and 14 special nouns.In the textbook,the spelling of the new words is alphabet with different colors,and each key word is accompanied by several examples.There are 54 grammatical points,with an average of 3 to 4 items per lesson,and the distribution is more balanced.The Chinese character knowledge is concerned with the way Chinese characters are made,Chinese characters components,structures,the strokes,as well as some key Chinese characters in each lesson.The fourth Chapter discusses the features of the texts in the Building Chinese Language through Reading and Writing.Each lesson is composed of two texts.It covers a wide range of topics,including interpersonal communication,physical health,attitude description,orientation description and so on.The fifth Chapter discusses the features of the practice in Building Chinese Language through Reading and Writing,including the style,the quantity and the features of each part.From the practical and functional point of view,the book designs a series of different and effective exercises.The phonetic practice focus on practicality,the Chinese character practice emphasizes the combination of phonetic meaning,and pays great attention to the difference between Chinese character Stroke order and Chinese character structure.Vocabulary exercises are diverse and aim to give students a variety of ways to master their own words in terms of meaning and usage.The combination of grammar exercises and other exercises has a subtle effect.Each lesson has writing practice,from simple parody sentences to writing a paragraph,which reflects the importance of the principle of writing.The sixth chapter is the overall evaluation of the Building Chinese Language through Reading and Writing.This paper summarizes the general characteristics of the book from the above aspects and puts forward some suggestions from the aspects of teaching content and some methods;1.To increase the knowledge of appropriate Chinese characters and to disperse the knowledge of Chinese characters to each lesson.2.To combine the second part Chinese Characters,third part key words and the first vocabulary.3.To highlight the teaching part of the topic writing and to properly add the teaching of writing rules.The seventh chapter is epilogue,including the strengthen and weaknesses of the paper and the direction of future.
