From the mid American playwright Eugene O'neill's "Desire under the Elms","mourning" trilogy and later plays "long day's journey into night","moon for the misbegotten" start by Jean-Paul Sutter's philosophy of existentialism to conduct in-depth analysis of the two plays,from the perspective of Sutter's theory of "the specific relationship between man and others",it shows that there is a view of "love" between the characters in the medium-term drama of O'neill.The use of Irving Singer to analyze and evaluate the concept of the late Eugene O'neill two plays,presented with the acceptance of the "love" in view of the characters later dramas,and explain the reasons for the change in the theme of "love" in Eugene o 'neill's late family drama.Finally,the writer and the dramatists' care of "love" shows the importance of "love" in modern society.
