Chinese characters are the carrier of Chinese,the symbol of recording Chinese a nd the important content of Chinese teaching.Due to the particularity and complexity of Chinese characters,Chinese characters have always been a difficult point for foreig n students to learn Chinese and a key point of Chinese teaching.Thailand has close ec onomic and political exchanges with China,and is one of the countries with the larges t number of Chinese learners in southeast Asia.Chinese teaching has been incorporate d into the national education system.Schools under the higher education commission,the people’s education commission,the basic education commission and the vocationa l education commission have set up Chinese courses,and more and more people are ta king Chinese courses.However,with the rapid development of Chinese language teac hing in Thailand,the teaching of Chinese characters is always in a relatively low posit ion,especially the teaching of Chinese characters in vocational schools in Thailand is not valued.Students have many problems in learning Chinese characters and many err ors in writing Chinese characters.In Thailand post education committee of Chinese teachers and the author once ta ught at Thailand spring peng vocational and technical college students as the research object,on the one hand,based on a questionnaire for Chinese teaching and learners to understand the present situation of the vocational school Chinese teaching in Thailand,on the other hand by collecting Chinese learners’ assignments,notes,test paper for c orpus,found that the Chinese character learning problems,and based on the theory of bias analysis,for the Chinese learners’ Chinese character writing errors of summary a nd classification,determine the types of errors,and then combined with the result of q uestionnaire survey,the main reasons for the errors are analyzed.Finally,according to the characteristics of talent training in vocational schools in Thailand,this paper puts forward some Suggestions for improving the teaching of Chinese characters from the perspectives of schools and Chinese teachers.This article is divided into five parts: the first part is the introduction,mainly elaborated the research origin,the Chinese character teaching related research review,the Research Theory Foundation and the research content as well as the research method and the innovation place;The second part uses the questionnaire way to investigate the present situation of Chinese character teaching in Thai vocational school,By collating the investigation results,it is found that there are some problems in the teaching environment and resource allocation of Chinese characters,as well as the teaching ideas and methods of teachers.The third part also takes the questionnaire method to investigate the background situation of Chinese learners in the Thai Chumphon vocational and technical College.The aim is to understand the problems existing in the learning of Chinese character learners in this school at present,and the other part is the analysis of Chinese character errors of learners in Chumphon vocational and Technical College,Thailand,including the analysis of the causes of errors and errors,and in the other part,the paper puts forward some suggestions for the rationalization of Chinese character teaching in Thai vocational schools.
