In teaching Chinese as a foreign language,students’ learning motivation will not only affect students’ learning efficiency,but also the teaching effect of teachers.Although in the past studies,scholars have carried out relevant research on Korean students’ motivation to learn Chinese,but in recent years,the continuous development of Chinese education in Korea,Korean Chinese learners’ motivation has also produced some new changes.This paper takes 10 Chinese language training institutions in Seoul,Korea as the research object.After investigating 195 different types of Chinese learners through questionnaires and interviews,it analyses the learning motivation of Korean learners at this stage and its influencing factors,and puts forward some suggestions on mobilizing the learning motivation of Chinese learners in Korean training institutions.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction of the paper,mainly introducing the research background,purpose,significance,research methods,research status and other basic contents of the paper.It also combs the motivation theory and the second language learning theory,and explores the types and influencing factors of the second language learning motivation.The second part of the paper is about the investigation of Chinese learners’ learning motivation in Seoul,South Korea.Through questionnaire and interview,this paper makes a cross-analysis of the learning motivation of Chinese learners of different genders,ages,occupations and learning times.On the basis of this,combining with the characteristics of different types of Chinese training institutions,the external factors affecting the learning motivation of Chinese learners are analyzed.The internal factors were analyzed.Finally,the third part puts forward some suggestions on Chinese teaching in Korea Training College,and forms the conclusion in the fourth part of the paper.In this study,besides the fusion motivation,instrumental motivation,passive motivation,achievement motivation and learning anxiety mentioned in previous studies,this paper also finds a new learning motivation,i.e.accompanying and following motivation,which is different from other previous studies.
