| During the Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern dynasties,a large number of Buddhist scriptures were translated into Chinese.These translation of Buddhist scriptures are abundant,both in the number of translation,or in the quality of translation.These are important material for the study of medieval Chinese.Among them,different Chinese translations of the same Buddhist scripture are more concentrated and more intuitive.By comparing those texts,we can find the differences in the use of words,vocabulary,grammar and even the translator’s translation style.Therefore,it is of great significance to study different translations of the same Buddhist scripture.In this paper,we take five different Chinese translations of the same Buddhist scripture as our research object.They are Jianbei Yiqie Zhide Jing of Zhu Fahu,Shizhu Jing of Jiumo Luoshi,Dafang Guangfo Huayan Jing·Shidi Ping of Fotuo Batuoluo,Dafang Guangfo Huayan Jing·Shidi Ping of Shicha Nantuo,Foshuo Shidi Jing of Shiluo Damo.Then,we compares the five translated sutras with the first three chapters of da?abhūmī?varo nāma mahāyānasūtram,and makes a comparative study of them from the perspective of pronouns,so as to explore the rules of the development and evolution of pronouns in Buddhist sutras translated from Chinese and provide a reference for the further study of ancient pronouns.This article is divided into four chapters altogether:The first chapter is the introduction.This chapter is mainly divided into five parts: a brief introduction to the reasons and research status of this topic,Shidi Jing and parallel Sanskrit versions,the research contents and research methods of this article.The second chapter makes a contrastive analysis of personal pronouns in five Chinese translations of the Shidi Jing(the first three chapters)by combining parallel Sanskrit versions of the Shidi Jing.The third chapter makes a contrastive analysis of the demonstrative pronouns in the five Chinese translations of the Shidi Jing(the first three chapters)by combining parallel Sanskrit versions of the Shidi Jing.The fourth chapter makes a contrastive analysis of the interrogative pronoun in the five Chinese translations of the Shidi Jing(the first three chapters)by combining parallel Sanskrit versions of the Shidi Jing. |
