The Study Of War In The Tibetan Epic "King Gesar"

War is the theme and core of the Tibetan epic King Gesar.In the past,the study of the epic war of King Gesar focused on military thoughts,strategies and tactics,war figures,etc.But in other respects such as war types,war scenes,the relationship between war and religion,the meaning and characteristics of war did not pay enough attention.This article takes the war in the Tibetan epic King Gesar as the research object,through the text reading,combined with the theme,type division,comparative study and other methods,with the representative epic division as the reference,according to the purpose of war,the content of war and other standards divide the"Gesar King" epic war into three categories.At the same time,the comparative study of the three divisions with independence and representativeness mainly includes the causes of war,the process of war,the outcome of war,and the connotation of war,and characteristics and other aspects.This paper consists of three parts:introduction,four chapters,and conclusion.The introduction mainly deals with the academic research history and research trends of the war in the Tibetan epic King Gesar,and states the significance and methods of this study.The first chapter of the text discusses the causes of war in epic,social form transformation,wealth struggle and land expansion,hero worship and revenge psychology and other factors have spawned tribal conflicts.The unique religious development process in Tibetan areas has made the epic continue be influenced by religious in the process of singing.The contradictions and struggles between marriage spouses also aggravated the emergence of war,which together constitute the cause of the epic war.The second chapter begins with the causes of war,the purpose and content of war,and refers to the "Gesar Epic Manuscripts,Woodcuts Problem Solving Catalogue(1958-2000)",and classifies 70 of them.The wars in the epic of King Gesar are divided into three types:rebellion against invasiveness,plundering and expanding,and demonizing the magic.At the same time,select "Huoling Wars","XueShanShuiJing Wars" and "XiangFuYaoMo Wars" as the war type representative and research base.The third chapter discusses the process of war.Firstly,it analyzes the military forces such as weapons and equipment and war horses of the warring parties,and clarifies the great advantages of Ling and differences between the two sides before the war.Secondly,analyzes and compares the three types of war scenes.Finally,it focuses on the participation,performance and role of religion in epic wars.The fourth chapter discusses the results,connotations and characteristics of the three types of wars of King Gesar.The war is caused by many factors.It is closely connected with social reality,religious beliefs,ordinary people,etc,although in the tribal era,there is no justice in war,but the fusion of epic and religion highlights its inherent contradictions.Therefore,the war in epic has the characteristics of social reality,political and religious relevance,and contradiction of justice.This article believes that the war in the epic of King Gesar is caused by tribal conflicts,religious beliefs,and spouse spouses.Many sections of the epic are all based on war,and can be classified into three categories:resistance to invasion,plundering expansion class and the demon cultivating class,the corresponding representative part of the book is "Huoling Wars","XueShanShuiJing Wars","XiangFuYaoMo Wars",the Ling led by King Gesar has an naturally overwhelming advantage in the war,which is mainly reflected in weapons and equipment,the power of the gods and so on,and the continuous integration of religious beliefs and epic content,makes the war have the characteristics of social reality,the relationship between politics and religion,and highlights the contradictions.
