Zhu Fujian's Calligraphy Research

Zhu Fukan was born in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China..It is an artist who is skilled in poetry,calligraphy,painting,and seal carving.Zhu Fukan’s life experience is abundant.He has a high level of literature.At that time,the Tie’s calligraphy was in weakness.The inscription calligraphy is in the boom.But he insisted on learning with both styles of calligraphy,focus on the calligraphy style of ancient generations,to pursue the innovation of calligraphy.On the study of the cursive handwriting,he studied the Er wang’s calligraphy and other excellent calligraphers.On the study of seal character,he studied the jinwen of shang and zhou dynasties.And finally blend the two together,create his own style.Zhu fukan’s calligraphy has gone through three stages,from the neat calligraphy style influenced by the background of The Times and family studies to the combination of stele and calligraphy.In the later period,he was more inclined to combine the jinwen of shang and zhou dynasties with the cursive writing,and he was keen on change,forming a personal artistic style with great"jinwen".Zhu fukan’s calligraphic works have both the vigorous and beautiful style of the two wang calligraphers,and the heroic atmosphere of the shang and zhou dynasties.Zhu fukan showed his calligraphic view from his long practice of calligraphy.He summed up his experience in learning books,should pay attention to the foundation,advocated that the book should be read more,pay attention to the style of writing and calligraphy,pay more attention to cultural literacy,advocated that students should pay attention to the accumulation of knowledge.Zhu fukan was diligent and studious all his life,with wide interests.He combined his interest with calligraphy,and gained some achievements in calligraphy,showing an important position in modern calligraphic circles.
