A Study On The Acquisition Of Chinese Nature Adjectives By Foreign Students

This paper mainly examines the use of qualitative adjectives of foreign students.The situation of foreign students’ learning these qualitative adjectives is investigated through the questionnaire survey and other research ways,with "hong,gao,da,hao,shufu" and other 21 qualitative adjectives as the object of the research.This paper chooses six common grammatical points of qualitative adjectives to investigate,which are:the overlapping form of qualitative adjectives,the collocation relationship between qualitative adjectives and "de" "de" "de",property adjectives need to be marked as predicates alone,whether "de" is added after qualitative adjectives as attributives,property adjectives can be modified by degree adverbs,the positional relationship between qualitative adjectives,verbs and negatives.The main types of errors made by foreign students in the acquisition of qualitative adjectives are misuse of reduplicative forms of qualitative adjectives,the confusion of property adjectives with the collocation of "de" "de" and "de",property adjective as predicate without marking,misuse of "de" in attributive adjectives,misuse of adverbs of degree in front of property adjecti’ves and state adjectives,the position of qualitative adjectives,verbs and negatives is confused.Causes of errors during the process of acquisition of property adjectives mainly by inter-lingual negative transfer,intra-lingual negative transfer,teaching material arrangement and teachers’ teaching strategies and so on.The Chinese property adjective teaching strategies can be improved from these areas of the revision of teaching materials,teaching methods of foreign language teachers,students’learning strategies,so that foreign students are better able to acquire qualitative adjectives in Chinese.
