The existing researches have confirmed that there are some correlations between the self-esteem,self-control and social adaptation of high school students.However,with the national defense students as the research objects,the discussion and research about the triadic relation are still missing and unknown.The study will compare national defense students with non-national defense students from affiliated middle school of Guangzhou University.Also,this study will apply the Chinese version of the self-esteem scale compiled by Rosenberg,and the self-control scale compiled by Tangney and modified by Tan Shuhua.Besides,it will be measured through the social adaptive behavior scale of teenager compiled by NieYangang.The measurement will be conducted twice for national defense students and non-national defense students respectively during 2016 and 2017.A total of 1500 copies of questionnaires are issued,with 1353 valid questionnaires collected,through description,independent-sample t test,analysis of variance,multiple regression analysis.The results are summarized as follows:(1)After one year’s training,the national defense students from high school in 2017 were significantly higher than they were in 2016 in self-esteem,self-restraint temptation resisting,independent living,self-orientation,social life,learning adaptability,economic activity,social cognition and sex,and ABQ.(2)Compared with non-national defense students,the national defense students in senior high school are significantly higher in terms of restraint and entertainment,impulse control,self-orientation,economic activities than non-national defense students,and significantlylower in terms of learning adaptation,social cognition and sex than non-national defense students.(3)There were significant differences between male and female national defense students from high school in independent living,learning adjustment,social cognition and sex,and girls are significantly higher than boys in these aspects.(4)The national defense students of different high school grades showed remarkably differences in all dimensions of self-restraint entertainment and good social behaviors.(5)There is a significant correlation between self-affirmation,self-control and good social behavior.(6)Good social adaptive behavior partially mediates between self-control and self-affirmation.
